Coupon shopping

Okay I am so excited to do the whole coupon shopping thing. I just went to Albertsons last week and got some killer deals. I always wanted to do the whole thing, but I never really understood how. Leilani showed me how a little better, and I'm going to try it. I saved $90 on my last trip and I'm still a rookie. I added a couple more links besides pinching your pennies that are helpful. So let me know if you're getting a killer deal on something. Share the good news. If we all work together we can save lots of money. What a great way to get food storage. So when I figure out how do to everything I'll share, so let me know your secrets too.

Hiking at Zions

After the run we hiked up Zions trail . The scenery was gorgeous. The weather was perfect. What a great day to hike. The kids did great. They really didn't complain that much. There's always a first. We hiked up the Emerald pools trail.I had to get this cute pic of Brylee and Aspen. They had fun.

The kids found this cave on the hike. They love caves. They were pretty good troopers. The trail was pretty rocky and sandy. I thought this was a pretty cool shot. Notice me taking the picture, Brent in front of me and the kids clear up at the top in the pink shirt. The kids had a hard time staying by us. They were pretty excited though. Overall we had a great time. We're definitely coming back.

The Big Run at Zions

Here we are right before the run, pumped, a little nervous, and ready to go. Tammi Miller, Matti Monroe, me and Keri Hennefer. I'm the only rookie runner here, but you've got to start somewhere. Tammi has run in a couple marathons(yeah 26 miles), Matti, is a speed demon, and just did awesome in a 10k last weekend ,and Keri just ran a half marathon in Jan. What good examples huh? I know my hair is really big. I couldn't tame it but, who cares, I'm running six miles, it's sure to flatten. I forgot to leave my Camera before we hit the shuttle to the run, so I was the only one of us with a camera up at the top of the run. Here's all of us together, freezing to death for an hour before the run began. The good thing was that I got some pics, the bad thing, I had to run the whole holding my camera. Not the funnest!On the back: Matti. Keri, Nicole, Leilani, me, Susie, Megan, On the front: Tammi and Kati(She took first out of all the women runners. She is super fast!) I'll be lucky just to finish.
What a cute picture of Justin and Leilani getting ready to run. It was gorgeous, but cold. Me and Keri ran the whole time together. This is in the middle of the run, she did awesome, and helped me keep a good pace, cuz I had to keep up with her. She had a garmun, which tells how far we had gone, which made it easier to know.
Yeah! I finished in under an hour. This is right after I crossed the finish line. It really wasn't that bad. Although, I'm feeling the results today.
Brent and the kids were there waiting for me. I know it probably isn't the funnest thing to go to, but the support is nice. Thanks guys for coming.

Easter at the cabin

How cute are these two. Brent rarely lets me take pictures of him, unless of course if it's with one of the kids Brylee loves this hair that she got at the Easter egg hunt. She really thought that people would think it was her real hair. What a character!

This year we went to the cabin in Otter Creek for Easter. Almost all of my family was there, which was really fun. We played games, ate, and ate some more, like usual. We went to an Easter egg hunt at the Rockin R dude ranch. Which was pretty fun. They had more kids than what they had planned, but what to you expect when the Blads show up. There's at least going to be 15-20 more kids. They gave away big Easter basket prizes and each kid got to pick a toy. These are the toys the kids picked.Having fun at the Easter egg hunt. The weather was great up there. So glad we missed the crappy weather in cedar on that day.

The trip was a little long on the way home and the girls were getting a little tired.
Brylee and Cadence were the biggest complainers. They weren't to happy i was taking their picture, but you can tell Brylee wasn't to upset about it. The trip driving to Disneyland ought to be fun.

Spring Break at Grandma Blads

I just had to post these cute pictures I took at grandmas h0use Easter week. My kids definitely love the camera. What a cute typical picture of Aspen. Her eyes disappear when she smiles, except for the little twinkle she always has.And another typical picture of Brylee and her mad face. One of which we see all too often. I have a feeling this one is going to be the hard one. I hope I'm wrong though. The hormones are already out of control and she's only 6!

Kyler in his younger days

I had to post some pictures of Kyler in is younger days. It was so fun going through all his pictures. He was such a cute and fun baby. Where has the time gone?


Grandpa liked to stop and show Kyler the fish he had caught. Hopefully one day he'll be able to out fish Grandpa.

Kyler turns Nine

I can't believe Kyler is nine years old. I still remember being pregnant with him, sitting on the couch, bored to death, and saying, man I wish he were here so we would have something to do already. Now, nine years later, it was be nice just to be bored for even one hour. I wouldn't give it up for anything though. Kyler has really been the best kid. The poor thing was spoiled until his twin sisters came along and his Dad was deployed to Toelle. He had to grow up pretty fast. He has always been such a great help with the twins. He is a little on the sensitive side, only because the poor thing is surrounded by a house full of hormones. How could he not be. I am so grateful that he is a part of our family. He helps around the house occasionally, but when he does , he does a great job. I know his world was turned upside down when the twins were born,but he has done a great job with helping me with them. For all of you that knows Kyler, he really is a great kid. He loves school, especially his teacher, Mr Robison. He loves playing basketball and soccer and is really good at both. He loves finally being old enough to go fishing and hunting with his dad and grandpa. Oh no! His favorite thing to eat is orange chicken from Panda Express. Thanks Kyler for being a part of our family and bringing us so much joy! We love you!Kyler and his cousin Ashlyn share the same Birthday. She turned 10 and he turned nine.
I know, I really went all out on the Birthday cake this year, but we were out of town, it was Easter break, and I already had packed a ton of stuff, so the poor guy settled for cupcakes. They did have cool soccer wrappers though. Nice creative shape of the number nine.Huh?
I wish Brent was half as excited as Kyler was to open his presents. He scored some cash this Birthday and some pretty cool presents, including a new Basketball hoop. Who wouldn't be happy?
Kyler and his lifelong buddy Taran Bartholomew. They've been best friends since they were little. Kyler said all he really wanted to do for his Birthday was play with Taran.
